• Stock up on light bulbs for the fixtures and appliances, and make them easily accessible
  
• Store extra appliances such as the blender, toaster and coffee pot in the kitchen cupboard for replacement when those items get worn down
  
• Take an accurate inventory of your unit and update your supplies based on that inventory 
  
• Check on the wear and tear of your unit and repair or replace items as needed
